The presidential candidates reached near the end of the trail this Saturday, with a giant question mark looming over competitive battleground states that presented 50/50 odds for each candidate, said the New York Times. The newspaper went on to recap the trail in recent months, from Romney's late surge, to a seemingly partisan hurricane that provided the President a chance to exhibit his leadership.
Amidst the uncertainty, the Romney Campaign maintained a confident yet sentimental attitude at a rally in Iowa as it looked back on a long, hard fought campaign trail, reported the Los Angeles Times. "We've journeyed far and wide in this campaign for America's future," Romney said. "And now we're almost home. One final push — we're going to be there."
The Washington Post did not run a new feature story since the previous day concerning the election.
